OUR STORY
WPRZ has been a beacon of hope and inspiration since its humble beginnings as an AM station in 1982. Founded with a vision to glorify God and nurture the faith of believers, the station quickly became a beloved part of the community, known for its uplifting messages and heartfelt music.
For nearly three decades, we faithfully broadcasted on the AM dial, bringing the best in Christian contemporary music, and sound biblical programming to listeners eager for encouragement and connection. In 2010, with the unwavering support of our dedicated listeners, we expanded our reach by transitioning to the FM band. This pivotal moment allowed us to bring our message of hope and faith to an even wider audience, reaching more hearts and homes than ever before, as well as streaming to the world.
Throughout our journey, our mission has remained steadfast: to glorify God through every song, every word, and every broadcast. Whether it’s the powerful lyrics of contemporary Christian music, the soulful melodies of inspirational country, or the rich harmonies of gospel bluegrass, our programming is carefully curated to uplift, inspire, and draw listeners closer to Christ.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to being a source of light in a world that often feels dark. Our story is one of faith, perseverance, and community—a story we are proud to share with you, our faithful listeners. Thank you for being part of our journey as we continue to spread the Good News through the power of music and the grace of God.

WHAT WPRZ BELIEVES
-
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible Word of God.
-
We believe that there is one God, creator of all things, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal imminent return.
-
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a godly life.
-
We believe in the bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived, the everlasting life of believers and the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God and his son, Jesus.
-
We believe that the ministry of evangelism is a responsibility of both the church and each believer.
